This document is to your camper what the passport is to you. It is compulsory in certain countries, to be sure you won’t leave the country without your camper.
The real reason is to avoid illegal importations or traffic of vehicules.
In France, the organization in charge of this document is the “Automobile Club Association”
How to get this document :
Vehicules under 10 years: a deposit of 100% of the resale value of the camper is requested (more than 100% for certain countries)
Vehicules over 10 years : a deposit of 100% of the resale value of the camper is requested(morethan 100% for certain countries)
Minimum deposit : 2500 €
Payment can be made by certified check, money transfer or bank guarantee.
It’s only valid for one year… Think of making arrangement with the organization for its renewal.
Price : 157 € for the members and 227 € for the non-members.
As the first part of our trip starts in America, where it is not compulsory, we will leave France without it and get it before reaching Australia.
